![]() It does have a tactical rail mount attached for accessories, though. It’s slow to fire and reload when compared to the Nerf Agent Bow and it doesn’t shoot as hard or as far. I can tell you that it doesn’t live up to the advertised ranges, either. It seems weird to use this fake bow to shoot regular Nerf darts. I don’t like the way it fires or the way it feels when you pull and release the string. It resembles a droopy dead bird or a fish or something weird like that. I don’t like the design or the way it looks. I hate this faux-bow, I hate this blaster. Honestly, I don’t even know why I’m doing this overview of the Nerf Rebelle Heartbreaker Bow blaster. ![]() Check out the Nerf Rebelle Secrets & Spies Arrow Refill Pack. I also recommend doing a quick search on Amazon for a real quiver, as you can find some good quality ones for pretty cheap. Did I mention it has an integrated red dot sight? If you really enjoy the bow, you’re going to want to procure some spare arrows, for sure. ![]() The Nerf Rebelle bow comes with 3 arrows, a detachable faux-quiver, and a gimmicky throw-away decoder to use on “secret messages” printed on the arrows. Pull another arrow out and it loads quickly and easily. The arrows whistle when zipping through the air and they can land on your target at up to 80 feet away when fired properly. This Nerf Rebelle bow backs up it’s amazing looks with great performance as well. I feel bad for all the little Hawkeye’s out there that would be put-off by the color scheme. The design is just so great and official looking. Plus, with Hunger Games being so hot right now, it’s sure to be a hit with all the girls who want to pretend to be Katniss Everdeen. I would totally use this Nerf Rebelle bow, and I’m a guy. This bow is actually very impressive looking. ![]() The last, my favorite, is a crossbow type blaster and is more true to the standard blaster archetype. The first is even firing actual bow type projectiles and the second is back to the usual dart projectile. They are fired more like actual bow and arrow weapons than any real Nerf blaster. Two of the bows, although labeled as blasters, aren’t true blasters. “Parents are concerned about the amount of time kids are spending in sedentary activities, in front of a screen of some sort.” By contrast, Rebelle promotes exercise and socialization in a way that will hopefully appeal to girls who have no interest in sports as well as budding athletes. There are three different Nerf Rebelle bow blasters I am going to be going over here. “Nothing is really addressing this big opportunity for girls to be active and play,” Frascotti said. The product’s main philosophy, though, is in line with that of the Nerf toys that came before it. The Heartbreaker bow comes with collectable darts bearing different colors and designs there’s a Rebelle app that allows girls to play collaboratively and encourages teamwork the bow’s size and ergonomics have been tweaked so that girls as young as 6 can activate it easily. Thanks to all that research, Rebelle differs from other Nerf lines in several key ways. Trying to encourage girls to buy existing Nerf toys or easing up the gendered overtones of those products was never really on the table: “This is an entirely ground-up effort.” “Just to be clear, we could have taken some of our Nerf blasters and just made them pink and put them in pink packages - but that’s not what we did,” Frascotti explained. What girls wanted, he said, was Nerf toys that boast both high performance and a design made especially for them. “I think if anything, we went into this without any stereotypes and instead talked to young girls, found out what they wanted, and then designed a line of products that addressed that opportunity.” And the second reason I’m behind Nerf Rebelle: It doesn’t seem like a slapped-together effort on parent company Hasbro’s part, where they just said “Girls like pink and heart stuff, right? Slap some of that on the bow we already have.” Says Hasbro’s John Frascotti:
